Marianne Schwarz Help for people that came down with leukemia (registered association)

When Marianne Schwarz herself came down with leukemia in November 1995, she founded a foundation of her own in 1996 to support people who came down with leukaemia. Since then it is increasingly being collected for children that came down with leukemia and their families in financial need.

In the José Carreras Gala in December 1997 in Leipzig Max Schwarz fulfilled the dearly desire of his wife, independently of her own survival, and donated 1 million DM to the German José Carreras Foundation.

Altogether the Marianne Schwarz Leukemia Foundation donated 777.550 Euro to support children, families and research projects throughout Europe.
